About
The goal of the SERvice dog and Veteran Experiences Study+ (SERVES+) is to evaluate how service dog partnerships, combined with gold-standard PTSD treatment, may lead to better outcomes for veterans.
Who We Are
The Organization for Human-Animal Interaction Research and Education (OHAIRE) at the University of Arizona strives to build strong science behind the human-animal bond. Led by Dr. Maggie O’Haire, the OHAIRE Lab studies a wide range of topics, from companion animals to skilled service dogs.

K9s For Warriors
Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.

Canine Companions
Canine Companions provides service dogs to a wide range of individuals with the goal of providing independence to clients and their dogs. They provide service dogs to adults, children, and veterans as well as facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice, and educational settings.

America's VetDogs
The service dog programs of America’s VetDogs® were created to provide enhanced mobility and renewed independence to United States veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities, allowing them to once again live with pride and self-reliance.

Warrior Canine Connection
Warrior Canine Connection utilizes a Mission Based Trauma Recovery model to help Warriors recovering from the stress of combat reconnect with their families, communities, and life. As a result of their efforts, Veterans with disabilities receive the finest in trained service dogs.
