  • Our primary goal is to bring a scientific lens to better understand if and how service dogs may help veterans in need.

  • We’re excited that you’re interested in participating in SERVES+! Please let your K9s For Warriors, Canine Companions, America’s VetDogs, or Warrior Canine Connection staff contact know, so that they can initiate the process.

  • The study will last approximately 12 months.

  • If you move or your contact information changes while you’re participating in the study, please make sure to update us by email (servesplus@arizona.edu), phone call (520.621.5126), or text message (520.704.TEXT) so that we can still reach you!

  • The breed of your service dog does not matter! Because we work in partnership with your service dog organization, any dog placed with you through their programs will qualify for the study.

  • Your participation in each study activity is completely voluntary. You can withdraw from the study at any time or choose not to participate in a given activity.

  • Veteran participants can earn up to $790 for completing all the study activities.

Compensation is based on the completion of each individual study activity. Choosing not to complete an activity will not affect compensation for other completed activities.
